Memorandum of Understanding with the UK Digital Government Services Office

Within the framework of the efforts to develop a common Arab vision for the digital economy in light of the rapid changes in the global economic scene and the wide opportunities provided by the techniques of the Fourth Industrial Revolution for human societies, the Council of Arab Economic Unity of the League of Arab States signed a memorandum of understanding with the Office of Digital Government Services of the Presidency of the Council British ministers on May 19, 2018, with the aim of cooperating in research and development in the fields of digital economy and transformation.

These efforts come after the announcement of the establishment of the Arab Union for the Digital Economy in April 2018 and the start of planning to develop a common Arab vision strategy for the digital economy and the strategy review committees that include a number of international and Arab experts and practitioners and relevant international organizations, and the development initiatives and projects that will emerge from them in the interest of improving the living conditions of Arab societies.
