

The Council of Arab Economic Unity was established in 1957 under the umbrella of the League of Arab States, and its first session was held in Cairo in June 1964. It aims to organize and consolidate economic relations between the member states of the League of Arab States on foundations consistent with the natural and historical ties between them.


The Council of Arab Economic Unity has established 74 qualitative Arab federations specializing in various fields of production and services, including Arab institutions and companies that cover all economic sectors
